I probably will NOT purchase from this site again. The quality of the puzzle was just okay, for example there were many pieces where the backing was delaminating. (See 2 photos) Additionally, the size was advertised as 20" x 28". The finished puzzle size was actually 19-5/8" x 26-1/8". I feel that skimping on the size resulted in the face of the bottom kitty being half obscured when framed. This is the most I've ever paid for a puzzle that I expected to be perfect. (I could only select 1 photo. Please email me if you want photos of puzzle pieces delaminating.)

I haven't done the puzzle yet but I was very pleased with the speed it was sent. The puzzle itself is brilliant I only wish I were able to find Linda Carruth's puzzles in England

I love the puzzle as I live in Shingletown. It was very difficult! But the letters that say "Gateway To Lassen" are CUT OFF it only shows part of the quotes. 🤦‍♀️ So disappointing! ☹ *See attached image.

Artist's Description

This is a composite image of the Daily Telegraph Crossword used by Alan Turing to identify potential codebreakers for the team at Bletchley Park, overlaid with an M4 Enigma machine.

The German Enigma machine, used for coding messages was said to be unbreakable. By combining three rotors from a set of five, the rotor settings with 26 positions, and the plugboard with ten pairs of letters connected, the military Enigma has 158,962,555,217,826,360,000 (158 quintillion) different settings.

Considerable work had been done by Marian Rejewski and his colleagues well before the war and this was utilized by Alan Turing and his team at Bletchley Park, along with Turing's logical and statistical genius to design a more generic mechanical "bombe" to decipher Enigma and so shorten the war.

Turing's pioneering work ultimately led to the creation of the device upon which you are reading this... and his vision of creating a thinking machine (or AI in modern parlance) is stil...
